Start with the page you actually need
A homepage introduces your brand and helps different shoppers find their next step. A campaign landing page has a narrower job: connect a specific message to a specific action. A custom store project coordinates the whole experience. Choosing the right scope is more useful than choosing the longest feature list.
When a landing page makes sense
Consider a dedicated page when an ad, launch, or promotion needs a focused story. The page can explain a product, answer common questions, show supplied customer proof, and lead into the relevant purchase path. It should match the promise that brought the visitor there.
When a redesign is a better fit
If visitors struggle across your navigation, collections, and product pages, a single campaign page may leave the wider problem untouched. A redesign can address the shared layouts and customer journeys that affect the whole store.
Shopify sections or a page builder?
Native sections can make the page editable within the theme. A page builder such as PageFly may fit a team that already uses it and wants that editing workflow. Review the existing setup, ongoing license requirements, and features you need before deciding. A builder’s presence alone does not determine whether a page is fast or effective.
What to include in a landing page brief
- The product or collection you are promoting
- The campaign message and intended audience
- The action visitors should take
- Approved product details, imagery, and real customer proof
- Your current theme, apps, and editing needs
- How the page will connect to the product and cart journey
Think beyond the desktop mockup
On a phone, review the first screen, content order, image crops, option selectors, and purchase links. Decorative content should not make it harder to understand the offer. Good mobile design gives the essential content enough room.
